Ann Stoddard is an artist whose work has been exhibited widely in the United States in seventeen one person exhibitions in art galleries, non- profit art spaces, and alternative settings.   Group exhibitions include: group shows at Genesis and Hansen Galleries in New York City, at the Milwaukee Art Museum, at the Albrecht Art Museum, “Artist Books” at the Maryland Art Place, “Public/Private: Issues of Gender” at the Arlington Art Center,  “WPA Options”, the “Ritz Exhibition” [WPA and COLAB], the Minnesota Museum of Art’s Drawings USA, and others. 

 Her work is included in numerous private and public collections including: Paul Bowles, Jo C. Tartt, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Hecht-Levi Foundation in Baltimore, the Miller Brewing Company Headquarters.

 Her work has been recognized by awards from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Prince George’s Arts Council, the Kafritz Foundation, the Maryland Art Place, and others. 

After earning a BA at Connecticut College, Stoddard pursued graduate study in Painting at Columbia University, before completing an MFA at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She has served as an adjunct faculty at American University, Mount Vernon College, the University of Maryland, Indiana University, and other colleges, and on the full-time art faculties of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha.   Her articles and reviews have been published in the New Art Examiner, ArtsINK, and Women Artists News.
